OASIS offers ADSL Connectivity (Capped and Uncapped). |
|
Here are 5 reasons why you should consider switching to Oasis Online:
1. Speed - Our ADSL offering plugs you directly into the South African Internet backbone - you do not go through other 3rd party ISPs, which means less congestion and greater speed throughput to international websites.
2. Getting capped - We have capped and uncapped solutions. With our capped solutions, we offer a large portion of free local traffic with each account option. Once your bandwith limit is reached, you are "soft capped" (meaning you can then only access sites hosted in South Africa). We give you up to 9 times more local bandwidth to consume before you are "hard capped" - thats when your internet access is blocked and you need to top-up.
3. Monitoring and ease of use - We automatically monitor your bandwidth and keep you informed as to what your bandwidth usage status is. You are just a phone call (or email) away from increasing or topping up your limit for only R 80 per GB ! It takes us less than 2 minutes to increase your limit, so downtime is kept to a minimum. (And remember the un-capped options which are available too!)
4. Support - We can see the status of your ADSL network at all times, so we can resolve any problems quickly without the need to contact Telkom or other 3rd party ISPs.
5. Price - Having compared our pricing to the 3 major ISPs, the cost of our bandwidth bundles is lower - and with OASIS online you get all the added benefits mentioned above!
- No contracts.
- No new equipment needed (assuming you already have ADSL access)
- We will manage the transfer from your existing ISP so that the transition is smooth and transparent to your business.

* Fair Use Policy
Our Fair Use Policy allows for a fair service for all rather than allowing heavy users the ability to degrade the service for the majority.
The service is offered in speeds of 384, 512, 1024 and 4096 Kbps, but can be used on any speed ADSL Telkom line. The service allows two simultaneous connections from two separate ADSL lines. If 2 connections are used, the connection speed is halved between the two connections (This connection speed is called the Peak Information Rate, or PIR).
All our Uncapped ADSL service options are Unshaped (meaning there are no access or speed restrictions on any type of Internet usage - all services are allowed at full speed - email, browsing, Skype, peer-to-peer, You Tube etc etc.)
The average usage of all users of a particular service is monitored hourly to determine the average bandwidth usage over the last 10 days. This works on a rolling 10 day period and does not reset at the beginning of each month.
** If your usage remains less than 80% of the average user (or 50% for the Business ADSL 4096kbps LITE option) for each product, your service will remain unaffected.
Should your usage exceed that, your service is changed to a "Shaped" service (meaning speed degradation will occur on certain internet services, for example large downloads may be throttled and priority given to other users).
The Business ADSL 4096kbps LITE option is managed at 50% of the average and is designed for light users who still require high speed access to the internet.
