PrintScreen Button

Ever wonder what the key marked "Print Screen" or "PRTSC" on your keyboard does?

screen 1

It's a key that, when pressed, sends the information displayed on-screen to the Clipboard.

You can then "PASTE" the image from the Clipboard into a program like your Email program or MS Word or even graphics program for
manipulation.

This is very useful when you want to "show" someone what's on your screen or save it to refer back to later.
(e.g. to email to a tech. support person - or an important message on the screen after, say an internet purchase, or a strange error when Internet Banking)

It's a simple process:
1.     With the screen displaying what you want to "capture', press the "Print Screen' / "PRTSC" button on your keyboard.
     (Nothing seems to happen)

2.     Now open MS Word or an email, place the cursor where you want the image, and press CTRL + V (the keyboard short-cut to PASTE from the Clipboard) or click Edit, Paste.

3.     You should now see the image - which can be re-sized / cropped etc - depending on what program you are in.

Try it now - I hope it helps.
